A Little Bit on Keyword Research

If you want to really hone in on keyword research, you should know that it does take time, just like all good things do. In fact, it isn’t unusual to spend two hours each week researching keywords to make sure I get what I need to drive traffic.

You should do the same, and here are some simple steps you can take to make sure your keyword research is done properly:

  • Search for keywords that target your niche market
  • Search for keywords that may not make sense, but they are how others would search them in Google
  • Search for keywords that will rank high in Google, but are low competition
  • Search for keywords that give you the number of juice links they have (will explain in the next paragraph)

While some of this may not make sense to you, it’s common everyday language for those focused on researching keywords. If you are unsure of what nic

he market means, it’s simply talking about the group of people or audience that you are speaking to.

Remember, people don’t always type how they talk when they search online, so we research these words in terms of how someone would search in Google. There are some keyword tools, in fact Google keyword tool is a great one to use.

This tool is free to use, and it’s going to tell you how many searches per month that keyword gets, and whether or not it’s low, medium, or high competition.

Last but not least, the way people rank on Google is with backlinks. The more links you can get the higher your content will rank. Some do this through spinning articles, and using various marketing sites to do so. If you know that a keyword has been linked to more than 100 times, then you need to make sure you exceed it so that you can do more!
