Professional Women in Business Begin Again

If you are like me, as a woman you believed that your sole purpose in life was to grow up, going to college, meet someone, get married, and have a family. While it all sounds so wonderful and so simple, things change. Many of you have gone to college and gotten your degree, but yet you hate what you do.

There are many professional women in business I meet that have been in the same job for 10 years or more, but they don’t make anymore than they did 5 years ago, raises have stopped, and they no longer get health insurance. So, what do they do when things get tough?

It’s time to take matters into your own hands and learn a few things including:

  1. What is a marketing campaing?
  2. How to build a marketing campaign online to jumpstart your business
  3. What doest marketing digital mean?

There are also many other concerns most of which are nestled in the reality of a startup budget and how to market on a shoestring. So, how do you even begin to set up marketing on a budget? You could easily control the budget when it comes to the following:

  1. Facebook ads
  2. Pay per click and pay per view
  3. Post promotion
  4. Free outlets like Twitter as a microblogging site
  5. Pinterest boards for free
  6. and more!

These things exist, and there are plenty of free tools and resources for you to use online. While they are still there, take advantage of them! What else do you really need to know? There is something to be said for joining a community of likeminded women that are professionals or that long to be but are just starting out.

I want you to understand that not only does opening a business stretch your skills and talents, but it's going to be a defining moment in your life, in which you can say whether or not you believe you can do something. The truth is, you can DO whatever you want, and you can HAVE whatever you want.

opening a business

Opening a business online is a great way to earn money from home!

The Early Stages of Opening a Business

The first step you need to take in opening a business is planning it right. Without the proper planning it's easy to fail. Without planning, you are giving yourself a gun and a bullet! Why do this when you can take it easy on yourself and just do what you need to do by planning it from the ground up in the beginning?

This means that you should at least know 3 very important things, including the following:

  • Who your niche market is
  • What product are they looking for?
  • What is the best way I can market directly to them?

If you don't know the answer to these questions, then you need to research target marketing quickly to get a better grip on things! It's important that you plan properly by being aware of who it is that you are

selling to!

Opening a business requires ample planning and speaking to your niche market!

Opening a Business Online Generates Revenue Faster than a Brick and Mortar

You may or may NOT see the benefit in this, but opening a business online will bring you results quicker than opening a business that is brick and mortar.

This is because you will be in front of more people, not to mention that you will be in front of millions of users around the entire world. This is WHY I decided to open a business online, and WHY it's driving my ability to earn an income from home much faster.

Above all, it's not just being able to earn money and earn it from anyone in the world that wants to buy what I offer, but it's also a matter of having the freedom to spend time with whomever I wish!

Remember, that “opening a business” shouldn't tie your hands behind your back when you can have what you want, when you want, and you can do that on a daily basis.

There is something to be said for having freedom and more time to spend with family when you are working, and working from home makes it easier than ever.

earn money online

A woman earns money online while at home with her family!

Why I Decided to Earn Money Online

If you watched this video you KNOW why I decided to make the move to earn money online. I care for my invalid mum, and I want to be able to spend more time with my family. The great thing about the internet is that it enables you to earn money while you do what you want!

That is powerful when you think about it, and it's not expensive to get started. Sure, you will need to make an investment into your business, however, you just need to get started. That is the hardest part for some people to understand.

I had heard others talking about making money online, I had studied various ways to earn money online, but none of the the things I had read about seemed to suit me really.

Then I realized I had something to say, and it was really about the video that I added here. I wanted the freedom to spend more time with my family, take care of my mom because I didn't want to put her into a nursing hom

e, and I wanted to earn money with a home based business.

It was as simple as that, and if you think I am kidding then you need to watch the video if you haven't already, and re-read this article here.

The truth is that oftentimes we make excuses for why we CANNOT do something. Let's make the decision to move forward and change our lives, while getting what we want. There isn't anything wrong with that. You owe it yourself to find out what you can do to impact the lives of others positively, and impact your own life in a positive manner too.

Need I say more about earning money online? Actually, I do, because I want to share with you the platform I use!

earn money online

You can earn money online!

Earn Money Online Using the Top Blogging Platform!

So, how can you earn money online the easy way?

It's easy; all you need to do is use this online platform known as Empower Network. Sure, it's a blogging platform, and it's built on WordPress, but it works.

The truth is…….

WordPress is made for SEO, and Empower Network is an aged domain, which means it's already optimized and waiting for you to put up some content.

How cool is it that it's only a $25 investment that nearly anyone can make? So, if you go and share this with someone you can also earn an income selling the platform too. Isn't that incredible?

I think so, and the best part is that it's so easy to use that a 12 year old can do it too! Teens are making money with Empower Network. If that doesn't get your attention I don't know what will!

Are you ready to live life to the fullest? Don't you want the change of a lifetime? Yes, I said change and not chance!

It's time to earn money from home and take care of your family. It's a process, but it's one well worth taking on and I can help you NOW!

Business Ideas for Women that Want Their Independence Back!

I was thinking about business ideas for women yesterday that would not only appeal to those that are stay at home moms, but for those that just want their independence back too.

Either way, it's refreshing to know that you can work for yourself and spend your time how you wish, isn't it? I don't know about you, but I hate it when I am crunched for time and I can't do what I want, when I want. I have a family and they are the most important thing to me, and the only way I can spend the time with them that I want is to work from home.

I speak for all women I think when I say that working for yourself is the key to unlocking the best life possible for you and your family. I am going to share with you your many options for working from home so that you can take care of your home, your family, and have some time each week to spend however you wish!

Business Ideas for Women that Any Woman Can Do!

If you are looking for easy business ideas for women, then consider that sometimes the best business is one with lowest capital required for start up. Be creative ladies, and I do mean super creative!

I love to browse sidewalk sales and often find great deals, and even if I am not at home I often find that treasure away from home. If you know what to look for you can start a collectibles business or even possibly antiques. While some say antiques are a tough market to be in, I beg to differ.

It's all about having a good eye, and knowing where the right buyer is. If you know these two things then you can make it work for sure. It's all about checking out the piece that you are admiring, checking for hallmarks o

n china, pottery, and jewelry, and choosing things that follow the current trend.

You will also find out that there are buyers for things you have, and even if they don't pop up right away you will be able to sell it easily when the right buyer finds you and what you have to offer.

Remember, the key is keeping a fresh and varied inventory, so if you choose to open up an eBay store you can post great photos, great descriptions, and you will sell your pieces quickly!

Business Ideas for Women of An Entrepreneurial Spirit

While starting your online store or boutique is still showing the entrepreneurial spirit, there are still more great business ideas for women.

Women are great at this entrepreneurial thingy, and with that being said, women comprise about 70% of the network marketing industry. You are probably familiar with names like Mary Kay who's story inspires many, and the likes of more modern day women like Diane Hochman who have really wrapped their mind around internet marketing and stepped up their game.

It seems to me that if there is an opportunity to go make money online and I can do it from home, then I have no reason to wait to get moving, right?

I know that you are probably thinking the same thing, and I can teach you how. You can choose from network marketing and affiliate marketing to really boost your income online. The best part? You can earn while you are sleeping. That is the beauty of internet marketing, don't you think?

You can choose a network marketing company that carries a product you love, and with the passion to promote it you will be earning a solid income in no time!

Do you want more freedom in your day? Would you enjoy spending more time with your kids? Could you stand to earn more of an income? If so, then I want you to CLICK HERE now, and I can teach you more about the business ideas for women that I know will work and help you earn an income, while giving you the freedom you want!

Internet Entrepreneurship – My Journey To Joining The Ranks

Internet Entrepreneurship – Property Development Is Where My Entrepreneurial Journey Began

Internet Entrepreneurship

Hugh Riding Doris On The Farm

It started a few years ago when I attended a weekend course in London on how to buy property for the ‘buy-to-let’ market. To become a property owner and landlady, finding properties with the right criteria in areas of high rental demand, with good potential for capital growth and just as importantly, to learn how to avoid the pitfalls.

At the time, friends and family thought I was crazy to consider such a scheme but since then, my husband Hugh and I have bought several properties in different locations in England. We had to develop some of these properties ourselves which has been quite a departure from our dairy farm that Hugh was running at the time and my job in new business development for an advertising agency. We did love farming and the way of life and the freedom and quality of the lifestyle we had.

Internet Entrepreneurship – The Farm Had To Go

But in 2001 we had to give up and leave the farm.  BSE (otherwise known as Mad Cow Disease and yes, we did have  a cow with BSE sadly) AND the dreaded Foot & Mouth Disease put paid to that and we had to sell our most precious dairy herd that Hugh had bred very carefully. The cow that Hugh is sitting on was called Doris and she would let us ride her (that’s not an optical illusion or clever photo-shop – Doris was a real Fresian and gave loads of milk). Hugh then spent the next three years travelling the world engineering before opening a business selling hot tubs in our home town whilst I worked in a new job I’d found in marketing in a further education college nearby.  We moved in with my mum as an interim plan while we figured out where we wanted to live in the long-term.

Internet Entrepreneurship – The Hot Tub Shop Had To Go

An unscrupulous supplier and a faltering economy saw Hugh’s dream shatter and the hot tub shop had to go. Problems caused by the economic downturn coupled with non delivery of pre-ordered, pre-paid goods from the supplier meant the business wasn’t viable. We didn’t just lose our business, we lost a lot of our savings into the bargain. Our mistake was to be too trusting resulting in our supplier playing some very dirty tricks on us.  We’d assumed that others would be honest like us.

Internet Entrepreneurship – Hugh Started A New Business

Ever the optimist, Hugh started another business as a swimming pool and hot tub engineer, moving into exciting areas of sustainable energy which he’s currently doing. He’s in huge demand and has finally reached a career that he can feel confident in keeping. He’s repairing equipment but he’s also working on new builds (swimming pools mostly) which he loves.  While all this has been happening, I was heavily into my marketing role but towards the end of 2010, was made redundant with 100 or so colleagues during enforced governmental budgetary cuts due to the economic downturn. This came as something of a shock I have to say. Never in my life had anything like this every happened to me.  Employers had always negotiated better terms to keep me, appreciating my loyalty and conscienciousness and the quality of my work with many ending up as friends – so being made to go was something that was alien to me.

Internet Entrepreneurship – Being Made Redundant From A J.O.B Was A Blessing In Disguise

I was horrified at being made redundant but soon realised it had been a blessing in disguise. It didn’t take me long to work out that there was no way I’d ever go back to working for a boss who called the shots. Someone who didn’t appreciate the fact that I consistently over-delivered on targets and objectives and who didn’t appreciate me. I never wanted my family life compromised ever again by being at the beck and call of a J.O.B.  I was never able to drive my daughter to school or other things that many parents take for granted.  I was also looking after my elderly invalid mum making sure my caring duties didn’t affect my job. All in all, my family could never be my number one priority because of my job and I can’t believe I stayed stuck in the employee ‘rut’ for so long. Mindless. What was I thinking of? I was brainwashed and I’m not proud of that.

Internet Entrepreneurship – I’d Have To Find A Solution

So to be made redundant was a wake up call and I knew I’d have to find a solution and I just knew I’d find my answer on the Internet. It was a gut feeling. And I did find the answer on the Internet. You know something like 2 billion people are searching the Internet everyday looking for goods, services and solutions. So it was the obvious choice. It’s the way everything is going now. It was a no-brainer.

Internet Entrepreneurship – I Got Lucky, I Found PRO U

Internet EntrepreneurshipWith the skills I already had I knew I wanted my own business so I was answerable to nobody but myself and it had to be a business that would fit around my family commitments. These were my priorities.  I also knew I’d need a good Internet marketing education and that’s when I found PRO U, the premier online business mentorship company for individuals aspiring to become online entrepreneurs. And what’s great is that PRO U have since become the number one incubator for many of the successful online entrepreneurs today. A variety of world-renowned experts, best-selling authors, gurus, business and thought leaders deliver mentorship to thousands of members in over 200 countries and I feel very lucky to be one of them!

Starting out on my own as a newbie to Internet marketing in October 2010 and finding PRO U was the perfect solution. The leaders of the company are teaching me everything I need to know about Internet marketing from basic and intermediate right through to advanced techniques and strategies along with the essential mindset skills needed to be successful. They provide all the custom built websites, business systems, tools, resources and support necessary to set up and run a business on the Internet.

Internet Entrepreneurship – Being Mentored By The Top Earners Of PRO U Is So Powerful

What an incredible learning curve it continues to be as I tune into the many live webinars, recordings and training sessions with the leaders, all of whom have achieved in excess of a minimum of $1 million in sales (in order to become a mentor) and I attend live events worldwide where we get to mastermind with these highly successful professionals (the top guns as I like to call them) that I’m being mentored by. Take a look at the most recent event I attended by clicking here (I went to Costa Rica in April 2012).

Vital to my own success is the mentorship I’m getting where the leaders are guiding me on the same path they’re treading in front of me, effectively showing me the way, thereby eliminating the possibility to stray off in the wrong direction (there’s loads of those for sure!). It’s  the most exciting challenge I’ve ever faced, running my own business on the Internet and I’m keen to share what I’ve learnt with others following in my footsteps.

So if like me, you are looking for a positive shift in your life, then why not take a closer look at PRO U. It’s been life-changing for so many of us and could be just the answer to your problems too.

The Importance Of Social Media Marketing In An Online Job

Social media is becoming increasingly more integrated into our lives, and for businesses, it’s an important key element to the marketing mix.   I’m a mum working from home in an online job and as I understand the importance of social media marketing, I’d like to share my experiences for the benefit of other business owners. If you’re wondering how to make money on the Internet, then by embracing social media marketing and including it into your marketing strategy rather than thinking “It’s not for me,” you’ll stand to reap the huge benefits it can bring.

Particularly so as your customers and future customers are using social media and it’s a great way to engage with them.  In addition to maintaining an online presence with your website, you need to be visible with a social presence also.

The worldwide recession is forcing us to add value to our businesses, so if you embrace social media marketing, the benefits will help to keep you trading in the future.

If you’re on a limited marketing budget, social media marketing is the most cost effective way to reach customers with information about your products, product news, sales, deals and more and you’ll find that if you devote an employee’s time, even on a part time basis, to setting up and running your social media marketing, you’ll have the ability to reach millions of potential customers that otherwise may never hear about you.

If you use some of the most popular social media marketing methods including blogging, you’ll have a very powerful outreach program that will raise awareness in your brand which in turn, brings credibility for your company.

Social media marketing will help build customer relations and if your consumers can easily share frustrations with products or customer service directly with you and get feedback, they will feel more confident in your brand and have a better connection to it.

Likewise, if consumers feel you value their feedback and you implement their suggestions,  for example, what to name a product or a perception of a product, they are far more likely to remain loyal to your brand and act as ambassadors on your behalf.

Social media can also generate high traffic to your business and in turn, increase sales which increases your return on investment (ROI).

It’s become an invaluable and necessary set of tools to add to your arsenal in the 21st Century and given the many ways we access the Internet including mobile phones and other devices in addition to computers, social media is set to continue the upward growth trend.

We may as well face it, it’s here to stay and we have to move with the times and best of all, it’s FREE.

Global Internet users top the 2 billion mark of which almost 300 million are in North America, almost 800 million in Asia, 450 million in Europe, 70 million in Africa, 200 million in Latin America & the Caribbean and 20 million in Australia and New Zealand.

Business owners are starting to wake up to the fact that they need to actively engage in social media marketing but many are unsure how to go about it. Maybe I can help from my own experiences here.

There are currently over 30,000 social media sites but this number is increasing by 300 each month and where do you start? Where do you focus your time and energy to get a return on your investment? It can seem like a minefield.

Whatever industry you’re in, you can create useful information in the form of blogs, articles and videos to share that others will find value in and learn from.  You don’t blatantly sell your products or services in social media. Your valuable content that is informative, educational and entertaining, enables consumers to get to know and trust you first. It then leads them from your social media sites to your website and that’s when you do your sales pitch. That’s how social media marketing works.

The three top giants that have become household names that I would recommend are Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

Facebook has over 600 million active users and these people are logging in for an average of half an hour each day so you need to get your messages in front of them.  This represents a massive marketing opportunity so you’ll need a Facebook Page.

Twitter has been around for over five years amounting to over 10 billion tweets sent which equates to around 50 million tweets each day and this number is rising rapidly.  It’s the place to find out what’s happening in the world. It provides instant updates on almost any topic.

Another giant is Youtube, the second largest Search Engine to Google and owned by Google, streaming over 2 billion videos each day.  Every minute, twenty-four hours of new video footage is uploaded and the average person spends fifteen minutes a day on Youtube viewing content, representing another massive marketing opportunity.

If you implement some of these strategies into your online job or business, you’ll be heading in the right direction for sure.

Why I’m a Work from Home Mum Now – Don’t Ever Give up on Your Dreams

Do you spend time dreaming about your ideal lifestyle? Or have you given up on it? If you suddenly found you could afford the lifestyle of your dreams, what would it be? What would you do? Sounds simple but it’s not.  I’m a work from home mum now and there’s an important reason for that. I had a wake up call and made it happen.

Maybe you’ve been conditioned to think that you have to put up with your lot in life, particularly if you’re a low income household working for a boss in a traditional job.  You probably think there’s no point in dreaming so you don’t. And even if you had any lifestyle dreams and aspirations, they are so deeply buried, you couldn’t access them in your subconscious anyway.

Conditioning takes away your creative thinking in such a way that you become desensitised to your dreams and aspirations.

That was me a year ago.

After I was made redundant from my job last year, I was asked this very question.  I had to think of what my dream lifestyle would be like –  and I couldn’t come up with the answer and that shocked me.

I found it incredibly difficult and it took me weeks to work it out.   I’d get up early and go out with my dog each morning and try and piece it all together. My dreams were buried so deeply, that I could only retrieve them piece by piece.

That was a wake up call for me and was the result of what had happened to me by being conditioned to think that my lot in life was always working for someone else in a regular job along with the constraints associated with it.

Apart from coming up with the obvious, like nice country house, new car, great holidays and other tangibles, what I found most disturbing, and more importantly, was the realisation that for the many years I’d diligently gone off to work to earn money to help support my family, our quality family time had been heavily eroded and was gone forever.

I’d just accepted the fact that this was how life was and that you just had to deal with it. It had never occurred to me that life could be completely different with freedom.  I hadn’t thought that there could be choice for an ordinary person like me.

By freedom, I’m talking about the kind of freedom to be with my family when they need me. Put simply, to be able to take my daughter to school and collect her in the afternoon. To be able to stand in the playground and chat to other mums and dads. To be able to go into class and read with the children. To be able to take my daughter to the doctor or dentist when necessary without the worry of how I’d get the time off work.  What a luxury that would have been for me.  And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Mornings in our household were usually a rush with arguments and stress and I’d have to drive like crazy, risking a speeding fine.  We’d all go off in our own directions and usually feeling fraught and upset. There was never any chance of taking my daughter to school first. I’d have loved that and always felt guilty and resentful that I couldn’t. It seemed like a violation of my rights as a parent and so unfair.

I think you get the picture now. There’s so much more that I haven’t been able to do with my family but all that’s changed since I set up my own Internet business from home. Now I work around my family priorities and it’s truly liberated me and we all benefit.

I’ve woken right up to the fact that my dreams are now my reality. I can take my daughter to school now and it’s a wonderful feeling. This is why I’m a work at home mum at last. I feel free for the first time in my life and I’m never going back.

Mum Working from Home – Why I Decided to Start my Own Online Business

Have you been conditioned to think that in order to make a living to support your family, you need to have a regular job working for a boss? That this is your lot in life and to be reliant on someone else to provide your paycheck. Has it ever occurred to you that you could be the master of your own future? Wouldn’t you like to be a mum working from home and be your own boss?

You are probably so used to thinking that the traditional 9 – 5 job (or similar) is your only route. Additionally, it might never occur to you that thousands of people all over the world are starting to change the way they think and are looking for ways to support themselves.

This would sound scary to some, and it is. Few of us find change easy and for so many people this will never happen. Most will want to keep the status quo and stay with what they consider is the safe option. In the uncertain world in which we live, where economies fluctuate and falter and job losses and redundancies become the ever increasing norm, people are venturing into new territories, stretching their comfort zones and starting their own businesses, often from the convenience of their own home.

This is exactly what happened to me.

All my life I’d been a loyal employee, building a successful career, with the mindset that this is how life was.

Then out of the blue, I was made redundant and I had to figure out what to do next and that was scary.

In the beginning, I went though a range of emotions, to questioning why this had happened to me. It seemed so unfair, particularly as I’d always been told that I’d done a great job.

My position had been as a School’s Liaison and Marketing Officer for a Further Education college and I’d spent many hours doing presentations to students giving advice on career options, including the importance of transferable skills. How ironic, I never thought for one moment the advice I’d given them would apply to me.

I’d impressed upon the stu

dents that in order to maximise their career potential, they’d have to make sure they got a good education, and with it, plenty of transferrable skills. These skills would stand them in good stead when changing careers I’d told them, unlike many of our forebears who’d had just one job throughout their lifetime and that in the 21st century many were likely to have to change jobs and careers several times.

So now I was needing to take my own advice and make plans for the future.

I knew I’d never work for a boss again. Not under any circumstances. Working in a 9 – 5 situation had completely compromised my family life.  My job, for the most part, came first and my family second. I’d never been comfortable with that.

Not being able to take my daughter to school, attend school functions, even take her to the doctor or dentist. The kind of normal things most parents want and need to do but rarely can. This was me and I wasn’t going back to that way of life.

So this was a turning point in my life and I knew this was meant to be. I no longer felt like a victim and I made a conscious decision to be positive about the situation I’d had forced on me. This was a brilliant time to utilise my many life skills and put my efforts and energies into a business of my own.

My family was my number one priority and nothing was going to dampen my determination to find an alternative route. This was of huge comfort to me and gave me the strength to remain positive.

This was when I decided to turn to the Internet where I found the perfect solution.  A new chapter was about to start for me and I felt liberated. I was going to be a mum working from home, running my own business on the Internet.

So my advice to anyone in a similar situation is to take stock, be clear on what skills you have, what your priorities are, have a positive mindset and look for options that might not initially be the obvious choice.  Like me, you will get through this.
