Being Professional in Online Marketing

Being professional in my online business is really important to me. When you are market online, it’s easy to convey just about anything to your target audience, but it’s always best to convey and market the true you.

Why is having the utmost professionalism so difficult for marketers these days? It seems so many go to one company, they praise and promote it as if it were the holy grail. Then, before you know it, they quit and move onto something else. How is it possible that you can believe so strongly in one thing, and a few days later you’ve already changed your mind?

Being professional isn’t difficult, it’s merely a choice you make. So, what are the signs you need to look for before you start working with someone in their business? I am going to share with you the details on what to look for, the simple signs that you’ll see online through social media, and how you can make sure that you are following your true passion in life.

being professional

Being Professional Online is a Choice

When you joined your home based business, what was your determining factor? What was that one thing that really made you want to join, and what made you want to stick with it?

I always ask my fellow marketers this question, or my team members when they join me in my business. The truth is, most people join a company because they hear the best story, the winning story, and nothing negative. What you won’t hear from most marketers is their journey, and how many times they wanted to quit.

Being professional is a choice, and this means that an honest marketer will tell you:

  1. How they got started
  2. The bumps along the way
  3. WHY they do what they do
  4. What their passion in life is
  5. Where they are right now

Being transparent is probably an even better word, but there are tons of issues we’ll talk about here that go under this umbrella of being professional or not. All in all, for me, it comes down to someone sharing their story, and then telling me “their WHY” and “the how”.

Do you ever find that most online marketers leave out the how to? It’s time that we all focus on sharing the how to, because each one of us has different methods that work, and someone may try it, but it may not work for them. You won’t know until you share it!

Being Professional is Being Transparent

One thing I truly believe is that most marketers that claim to make millions per year, may not even make six figures. Why? They are always showing pictures of them holding money, stacks of cash on their desk, and talking about how they travel all around the world whenever they wish.

This isn’t inspiring or helping anyone for that matter. It’s time that people get more transparent about what they do and why. Faking people out into believing that they are doing something that they are not is unethical and it’s so misleading if you haven’t done it yet. Share with people how you are doing, and WHY you feel the way you do. If you tried something and fell flat on your face, tell it!

Being professional for me is tops, and it’s the only way to build a business. In fact, you should know that attraction marketing isn’t about making what you do look attractive, it’s about YOU being attractive! Now can you recall a time when you say something or heard someone say something that just seemed too good to be true?

I am sure that you can, and you’ll always see a few in the crowd. However, you don’t have to be one of them. If you want to learn more about how to set the standard for creating income online, and how to work from home and have freedom, then you are in the right place. I don’t claim to have made millions online, and I am still learning everyday.

What I can tell you is that I am learning from the best in the industry!

Customer Service Skills-Why You Can’t Live Without Them

Have you ever felt that customer service skills are a lost art? Regardless of the country you live in, business  is tough as the global economy shifts. However,  it’s worth mentioning that service is all you have left whether price is good or bad in the eyes of your public.

So, why is it that it seems service is so poor when you shop or dine out for the evening? While it may depend on the reputation of where you dine or where you shop, it is still up to the business owner and manager to do what it takes to provide great service to all customers, no matter what. What do you consider to be good customer service? Have you ever owned a brick and mortar establishment to where you had to keep a constant eye on your staff? Even if your business is solely online, how you treat your customers is everything.

I would like to share with you today, how you can provide your customers with value, how you can win them over with service, and why customer service skills are just what the doctor ordered when it comes to experiencing massive success!

Why Customer Service Skills Rule Your Business

Is there any doubt that serving others would boost your business? While some of you may say no, I’ll let you know upfront I disagree. Consider, the big box stores around the world, that have now put locations in almost all major cities. They often offer the best or lower prices, believing that they will draw millions of customers.

While this may look good and work on the front end of the marketing campaign, it may not fair so well for them long term. When they take the service away all they can lean on is price. In this regard, they won’t fair so well now or in the future. Why? Because, there is no longer a draw for the masses. Those that get fed up with long lines and not enough cashiers will no longer stop there for their household needs, and they will go where they believe they get the “best service”.

Customer service skills will absolutely rule your business, in that they:

  1. Are the standard that you set for your customers
  2. Your business makes it known that this is the most important part of their operation
  3. Draw the masses over and over, and not just every now and then

When your business makes this a rule and expectation on a consistent basis, things will change for your business for the better now and in the future. What else do  you really need to know before you start providing better service?

Customer Service Skills Are the End of the Road for You!

While you may think that this is just something you enforce once times get tough, I beg to differ. Your standards should be higher than ever, no matter what, and they should stay the sam. Consistency is the key no matter what, and unless you offer  your customers more than a low price, you can begin to look for a job working for someone else, that may not succeed either.

Wouldn’t you rather live with a set of values that  changes the game for all involved? Let customer service skills be a guide for you, and let them be how you end measuring your success!

Useless Information Won't Work for Attraction Marketing!

Have you ever come across someone that worked a home based business and all they offered up was useless information?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I do it all the time, and I think, “Gee, you could really benefit from my marketing training!” I learn from the best, and what I know to be true is this; you can have what the heavy hitters have, BUT you have to do the work first.

Value MUST be created before anything else can be done, plain and simple.

useless information

Do you get frustrated when all you get is useless information?

Have You Ever Felt Like You Were Getting Useless Information?

Oftentimes it may feel as though the information you are getting isn't what you asked for and that it's useless. You might have even signed up for something that you wanted to learn more about, yet no one could tell you what it really meant or how it was going to benefit you.

When people you are following and look up to give you useless information you will know, and it will cause you to lose respect for them. Those of you reading this that are in the network marketing industry know exactly what I am talking about.

Let me give you a really good example. You are sponsored into an MLM opportunity by someone who is having success. Once you get into the business you love it, and while you respect the person that sponsored you, you feel you aren't getting what you really need from them to excel.

You get a lot of hype. You see a lot of hype on their Facebook page,

and on and on it goes. All of this useless information and garbage isn't doing anything for them or for you. So, what do you do? How do you overcome that and take away what matters?

Ah, it's merely a matter of research, trial and error, testing, and testing again, and then once you master something and have success with it, you DUPLICATE it.

`useless information

Useless information doesn't help you earn money!

Don't Provide Useless Information to Others if You Want Them to Join You

So, now that you know what it's like to get useless information, and how much you hate it, don't give that to someone else. Remember, you will attract what you put out there, and it does surprise me how poor marketers get traffic in the first place.

Don't follow what everyone else does. Choose to live a life of excellence, and be sure your business follows suit. Make sense? Settling for a better business will get you in trouble every time.

Also, be sure you remember that useless information isn't going to grow your business any further, so invest time wisely. If you struggle, then you need to team up with people like me that work with leaders that are making six and seven figures, as well as those that have been in the industry for many years.

Attend workshops and seminars when you can, because you will get anything but “useless information” there!

Leadership For Success – 5 Daily Actions To Take

Leadership For Success In Your Business

If you’re new to running your own business then you’ll want to develop leadership for success in whatever it is you are selling or promoting. Leadership is a key element to the successful running of any business and listed below are 5 very important techniques that many of the successful leaders in industry use every day.

“Why does my business need leadership for success?”

Because in order to be successful in a variety of businesses, you have to position yourself as a leader and expert in your field. People want to follow people that are successful – people they see as leaders and people that really are experts in their field. And when they get to know, like and trust you, they will buy off you.  It’s as simple as that. Most businesses need great leadership for success.

So what ARE the 5 DAILY actions that successful leaders take?

1. Daily Visualisation And Meditation Of Your Goals

Did you know that you have the power to influence your subconscious mind? Did you also know that your conscious mind is tiny compared to your massive subconscious mind?

You need to work out your goals and they have to be very specific.  You can’t just say you want to be successful in business.  You have to define what that success is and what it looks like.  To give you an idea, it could be a goal of earning $10,000 per month by a certain date. You can’t just say that you want to earn lots of money – that’s not going to work on your subconscious mind.  You have to work out the specifics of what you want to achieve and dates by which you want to achieve your goals.

I recommend you put your goals into a list and visualise them each day. Say them out loud so that your subconscious mind can start to find ways to deliver solutions to you to enable you to achieve those goals. You’ll find that in time, the more obsessed you become with something, the more likely it is to happen. Think back to things in your life that you’ve wanted so badly, that they’ve eventually happened for you.  You made them happen.

2. Income Producing Activities

You have to be disciplined to do the things in your business that are going to make you money.  You must market your busin

ess daily or you simply won’t get any leads or customers. That could be placing adverts on the Internet, writing a blog post,  interacting with your customers through social media, email or by speaking to them.  Imagine if you had a shop on a high street, are you just going to rely on passing trade to come into your store or are you going to proactively market it?  Without customers, you have no business. Same applies online.

3. Mastermind With Other Leaders

Make sure you mastermind with as many successful leaders or mentors in your industry as possible. Can you access live calls, conference calls, trainings or webinars? You’ll find that the more you can mix with other leaders who are like-minded and positive, their influence on you will have a dramatic effect.

As time goes by, the more you immerse and surround yourself in the company of other leaders, you’ll start to speak their language and your transition to becoming a leader will be much easier.

4. Cultivate The Expectation Of Leadership For Success

Don’t wait to HAVE what other leaders have before you DO what other leaders do so you can BE what other leaders are.  Do it the other way around.  BE the leader, DO what leaders do and you will HAVE what leaders have.  So have belief in yourself and create that vital leadership for success, the life-blood of any business.

5. Personal Development

Never miss an opportunity for daily personal development or training. Always be a student and increase your knowledge and expertise. You can read books, listen to audio, do training courses and best of all, attend live events  Try and learn something new every day. If you’re not learning, you’re standing still.

I was taught the importance of these 5 daily actions from my mentor Jay Kubassek, Co-Founder of SFM & DEA – top leader in Internet marketing and entrepreneurial education. I spent quite a bit of time with him at the first PRO-U PEAK Mastermind event in Costa Rica. Click here to view a video of us chatting.  David Wood, Co-Founder of the Empower Network was also there and he and I had a really interesting chat one afternoon.

Here, take a look at David and I chatting by the pool……..
