Mum Working From Home Explains How to Juggle Business and Family Responsibilities

Mum Working From HomeMum Working From Home Explains This Difficult Trade-Off

As a mum working from home, I’m no longer tied to a traditional job working for a boss. I’m no longer one of the millions who relies on someone else for their paycheck in an inflexible job leaving them with no time to look after themselves or their families.

My family, like most, needs lots of attention, and caring for my husband and daughter requires substantial time and effort. That’s not to mention our dog who needs his daily three mile run!

Fitting all my commitments and responsibilities around a full time job was nigh on impossible, leaving me feeling like a hamster on a treadmill going at an ever-increasing speed, powerless to stop. I’m sure this is a feeling many of you can sympathise with, and worst for me was not being around for my family when they needed it. Now I’m a mum working from home life is very different.

Mum Working From Home Is Finally Able To Live Her Life

Not even being able to take my daughter to school was something I hated, but now I’m my own boss and I’m a mum working from home I have the freedom to do as I please, which makes a huge difference to both my family and me!

Suddenly having all this freedom means you need to manage your time carefully and maintain motivation – I’ll be honest with you, it’s not easy! Try the following tips to ensure you remain on the right track and can make the most of working from home:

Mum Working From Home Explains What You Can Do About It

Prioritise: This is crucial, and one of the most simple ways of achieving this is by making a list. From menial daily tasks to important event-organising or similar, lists allow you stay on track and can stop you from waking up at night, suddenly worrying about something you’ve forgotten to do – unable to get back to sleep. Know the feeling?

Motivation: As mentioned earlier, when you’re working for yourself, motivation is one of the key ingredients for success. Only you can be responsible for this, so make sure you do all you can to put yourself in the right frame of mind. Keeping track of your goals and rewarding yourself when you meet them should keep you motivated.

Sleep: Countless tests have proven that sleeping enough improves concentration and work ethic no end. Know when it’s time to switch off and try to get yourself into a pattern. You’ll find yourself being far more productive and you’ll feel the benefits in everything you do.

Exercise: If you struggle getting out of bed, then perhaps this might not sound the best idea, but believe me – a brisk walk or jog for thirty minutes in the mornings really wakes you up and sets you up for your day. At first this will be hard, but after a while it’ll become second nature, and you may even come to enjoy it, while reaping the rewards at the same time.

Prepare: Planning in advance and setting out what you want to do will make you feel more productive, and if you feel productive then chances are you probably will be! This improves your motivation and the benefits are fantastic. Being a mum working from home requires huge amounts of planning!

Living in Australia was fun!

Why It’s Amazing to Be a Work at Home Mum!

Being a work at home mum is truly a joy for me.

The reason being is that I can easily work from anywhere. I can travel with my daughter, and when my mum was alive I used to travel with her as well. It’s no surprise then that I have had such a freeing experience working for myself.

I never wanted to be very far from my kids, and therefore I decided to just make it happen!

So, how did I start? I made the DECISION.

I did research online, and discovered that what I was looking for was all online.I found out that all I needed was:

  • To find out if what I had a passion for would earn me some income
  • Put up a basic website to start
  • Start a blog to share information and drive traffic to my website
  • Use social media to share information about what I was learning, and teaching others how to do the same!

I also knew that other women wanted the same thing, and that was to live out their dreams to work at home, so that they could spend more time with their children and spouse, and live life on their terms. Doesn’t FREEDOM sound good to you?

Once I found the information I needed, it was time for me to implement what I learned and make it happen!

Becoming the Work at Home Mum I Wanted to Be!

So, once I learned what I needed to know to become a work at home mum, what was the next step?  It was creating a marketing strategy for my business. Not all marketers are going to use the same strategy, and REMEMBER, this is about reaching your niche market. I want to reach those of you ladies just like me that want to stay at home and raise their children and take care of their home.

Before you can even write that strategy, you absolutely MUST:

Set goals. If you don’t set goals, you will have no roadmap. Set short term goals, and then set goals for what you want to do in the long term too. Be clear, be definitive, and be honest with yourself. Set daily goals as well, sort of like and action plan!

Get up before the kids do! If you can manage, get up before the kids and spouse do. You want to get a head start so that you can get some stuff done before everyone needs your time and attention. It’s tough being a mum, but it’s the best job in the world! However, what business time you can get, take it! Your time is so precious!

Block out time for business and time for family only. Just so you know, because time is tight, it’s best for you to block out time for family and work. Set work hours, and abide by them Let your family know what they are, and by all means, get the support you need from your spouse to help you get through.

I hope these few tips help you. If you would like to chat, I would love it! I am all about helping out anyone that would love to be a work at home mum!

So, if you have any doubt as to why work from home jobs are taking over the world, it's not all that hard to see. More than ever job loss has beaten many people down so they are trying to build a bridge to something better that they believe they can control.

See, working from home isn't for everyone, and it's not just for single moms or dads either. While it might seem ideal for single parents to work from home, remember that at the end of the day it's still work and it is your personal business.

SO, you are responsible for you which may work for you, but it will also give you the greatest freedom ever! I have a daughter and I want to be able to be there for her in the changes of life, to hear how her day went, and to help her with her studies.

If I am NOT there to help her, who would she turn to? Yes, I do have a husband, but as a mother, I have my own important role, and it's one I would never abandon or shy away from. I chose to bring her into this world, and so it is I choose to be at home and nurture her now and into the future.

Can you see why work from home jobs are appealing to people from all walks of life, moms and dads?

Internet Entrepreneurship – Lindsey’s Trip to the PRO U Peak Mastermind Retreat, Costa Rica, April ’12

Internet Entrepreneurship - Lindsey’s Trip to the PRO-U Peak Mastermind Retreat, Costa Rica, April ’12

Lindsey with Jay Kubassek

So –  I’ve been back a week already and I’m still on a high, want to know why?

Flying out to Costa Rica in Central America this April 2012 to learn from the industry gurus of PRO U, those super successful leaders at the very pinnacle of success in Internet Entrepreneurship proved to be a life-changing experience for me. A real turning point in my career as an Internet Entrepreneur, I had the unique opportunity to network, mastermind and socialise with some of the biggest names in the business (doesn’t get any better than the PRO U Founder, Jay Kubassek himself no less!), while having a fantastically good time to boot!

This was PRO U’s first ever PEAK Mastermind Retreat event, held at the sumptuous Hilton Papagayo, Guanacaste (the Pacific side of Costa Rica) surrounded by stunning rainforest and incredible scenery amidst a backdrop of tropical splendour.  You might be surprised that I managed to learn anything at all with all the excitement, but when you have powerful, respected speakers and leaders such as Jay Kubassek, David Bach, Michael Force, Jay Kilberg, Justin Woolf, Aaron & Sophia Rashkin and Chris Daigle (friend and business associate of Ryan Deiss & Mike Dillard) to name but a few, can you blame me for being captivated?! What really set these few days apart as being totally unique in every sense was the opportunity for them to not just be speakers, but to socialise and integrate on a one-to-one basis too! David Bach, 9 times New York Times Bestselling Author was equally at home during his presentations talking about his vision as he was in the swimming pool over a cool cocktail at the swim-up bar, and our small group of around 40 facing their fears on the zipwire was a true networking experience I’ll always treasure.

Internet Entrepreneurship - Lindsey’s Trip to the PRO-U Peak Mastermind Retreat, Costa Rica, April ’12

Lindsey with David Bach

Zipwiring, come to mention it, was where everything came together. Just imagine being up in the canopy of the forest, seeing a terrifying ravine ahead of you which you’re about to traverse with nothing more than a clip or two on a thin metal wire anything up to around 40 metres above the forest floor between you and certain death! However, how better to sum up our goal in what we do in our businesses? Jay Kubassek, in his address the following day, likened the zipwire to succeeding in our businesses. Jay says we need to have crystal clear goals in mind and set a mental zipwire to them. He said we need to forget all the baggage which is holding us back. We need to face our fears and limitations head on and overcome them. Trying to solve problems using logical, rational thinking isn’t always the best option. Our subconscious usually knows exactly what we need to do (even if our conscious mind doesn’t) and can come up with the solutions. We need to forget our fears both in business and zipwiring and take the plunge. Jay says if our mental zipwires are attached to our goals and we focus clearly on them, we’ll find a way of getting there and before we know it, we’ll be heading in the right direction!

With Internet Entrepreneurship, dreaming big and believing in yourself is KEY

Inspirational sessions and presentations took place in between the more casual networking over candlelit dinners and pool-side chats. David Bach spoke at length about the four types of people that exist in today’s society – survivors, strugglers, strivers and thrivers. David’s main market is strivers and he impressed upon each and every one of us of the importance to decide which one we are targeting with our businesses!

Looking from the pool to the Pacific Ocean!

We were treated like kings too, a whole myriad of the most delicious food available at any time of day or most of the night from as many restaurants as you can imagine, and similarly the bars were open at all hours, even in the swimming pool! Every evening we had the privilege of dining with a different guru, each of whom shared their life experiences in an informal situation. What a fantastic way to learn – when we weren’t in sessions we could continue to socialise and absorb, almost like a drip feed, as we were able to mastermind on often a one-to-one basis with these true masters of their arts! This really was a truly transformational experience, where being able to have invaluable, personal contact was more than I could have ever wished for.

So how would I sum up my Internet Entrepreneurship experience?

Lindsey with David Wood

Apologies for those of you who are bored of the zipwire analogies, but this one is my own. This unique opportunity gave me a fast track to far greater understanding in my businesses as I look towards Internet Entrepreneurship. Thanks to the leg-up that I got from PRO U (in the same way the Costa Rican guides helped me into the harness for the zipwire) I was ready and raring to go (although sick with fright), eager to learn as much as I could. Spending these few days was a rip-roaring adventure, and just like when I was speeding through the sky at speeds I thought impossible dangling from a zipwire, I was speeding through the content at speeds I thought impossible too! My notebook is full and my brain now full of ideas, and as Jay Kubassek said, my goal is clear in my head. I’m not yet off my zipwire, but believe me, when I get there, I’ll be a better person because of it.

Hold your horses! Learning Internet Entrepreneurship from the masters

One last thing – saving the best to last.

I was incredibly lucky while I was there to not just chat and hang out with the masters, but also to get some video time with them too! Follow the links to see my interviews with PRO U Founder Jay Kubassek and  David Wood from the Empower Network who dropped in as a special guest (David lives in Costa Rica), this really is Internet Entrepreneurship at its very best.

Work From Home Mum Gives 5 Top Tips On How To Be Effective When Juggling Work And Family

Work From Home Mum

Are You Juggling Work And Family?

These days I’m a work from home mum but it wasn’t always like that for me. I used to be one of the millions of people going off to the daily grind of a traditional job working for a boss, dependent on someone else for my monthly paycheck.

I have a family to look after including my husband, my daughter and my elderly invalid mother and between them, they all have complex needs, particularly my mum (see for yourself here). Then there’s our dog, he’s a border collie so needs a lot of exercise each day.

It was a juggling act fitting my family commitments around the demands of a full time job. At times, I felt like I was a hamster on a treadwheel going faster and faster and the worst part was not being around when my family needed me most. If you’re juggling family responsibilities with a job, then you’ll know what this feels like.

Not being able to do a simple thing like take my daughter to school seemed like a violation of my rights as a parent. But now that I’m a work from home mum running my own online marketing business, I can do these things and I have quality of life and we all benefit. I can be around when I’m needed and it makes a huge difference.

Since I found what I consider is the very best new online business that I run from home, if my daughter needs collecting from school, I don’t have those panicky feelings of how I’m going to get the time off work, I can decide for myself.

Whether you work in a traditional job or you are a work from home mum like me, you’re going to have all sorts of challenges to face, so I’ve put together 5 of my main tips that should help you keep on top of things.

Tip 1: Work From Home Mum Explains The Need to Prioritise

Prioritise: Learn to prioritise to make sure all the important things get done. One of the easiest ways to do this is to make a list. Have lists for daily tasks relevant to your business, shopping, events etc. They really do make a difference and keep you on track. If you write a list, chances are you won’t wake up in the night in a panic. I live by my lists and it’s amazing how much you can achieve in a day by using a simple list.

Tip 2: Work From Home Mum Needs To Explain The Importance Of Motivation

Motivation: This is something that only you can do and without it, you won’t get much done. Make sure you do whatever is necessary to put yourself into the right frame of mind. If you know what you want to achieve and you know how to achieve it then add in a reward when reaching certain goals and that should keep you motivated. I reward myself by taking my dog Ben up on the canal banks in the beautiful Devon countryside where I live. You might like to take a look here to see how lovely it is.

Tip 3: Work From Home Mum Explains The Need For Sleep

Sleep: Make sure you get the right amount of sleep your body needs. Avoid coffee or alcohol last thing if possible. Take a bath and find a good book. With the right amount of sleep you are more productive and will cope better overall. Without enough sleep it’ll be amazing if you can focus and concentrate well enough to get anything done. Believe me, I know.

Tip 4: Work From Home Mum Explains The Need For Daily Exercise

Exercise: The best way to start your day is with some exercise. I recommend a brisk walk or jog for thirty minutes and get your heart rate going. It’ll wake you up properly, you’ll feel supercharged and you’ll be surprised at how much more productive your day will be. The first ten days doing this will be hard but once you get into the habit, it will become easy and you’ll want to do it automatically. Once your habit takes hold, there’ll be no stopping you.

Tip 5: Work From Home Mum Explains The Importance To Prepare

Prepare: Always plan in advance and prepare yourself for the day ahead. If you fail to do this, you’ll end up creating more work in the long run and you’ll be far less productive. Have you ever noticed that some days you seem to get nothing done? That’s usually due to lack of preparation.

If you are thinking of becoming a work from home mum or you already are one and want to take a look at what I’m doing, then click on this link. It will take you to a free webinar where you’ll meet my mentor and Internet genius and he’ll explain the three key elements to being successful online. Whatever you decide to do, I hope my 5 tips will help you as much as they help me.

Internet Entrepreneurship – Mid Life Crisis Was A Blessing In Disguise

Life doesn’t always turn out as you expect, but even when everything went wrong with my career and I experienced what I thought was my mid life crisis and I needed a career change, Pro-U offered me a solution which has turned my life around!

Just over 18 months ago towards the end of 2010, out of the blue I was made redundant from my job as a Marketing and Schools’ Liaison Officer at a Further Education college in the South West of England. I was one of around 100 that we’re made redundant that year, others before me had suffered the same fate in previous years and others have since – due to ongoing budget cuts in the downturn in our global economy.

I’d spent a lot time advising students on the importance of transferable skills and flexibility with careers, and suddenly I found this advice applying directly to me! I’d told them that whilst the majority of our forebears had the luxury of one career throughout their lifetime, this day and age was different and many of us could expect to change careers several times.

In a dismal job market, I realised that it could be extremely difficult for me to find a new job, and besides, I’d had enough of working for a boss from 9-5, ending up putting my work before my family, almost always – can you blame me? So, I took the plunge, and became my own boss. So what I thought was a mid life crisis actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise

Pro-U has been instrumental in transforming my life. Pioneered by the wildly successful Jay Kubassek, Pro-U is a mentoring scheme, providing members with more than 10 hours of live training a week in varying areas of leadership and marketing. Members can access a myriad of tools, coaching sessions, resources, webinars and more, and it’s an ideal online education platform where you can learn at your own pace, meet likeminded individuals and above all, to live your life as you please. Why is that? The opportunities with online marketing are limitless, and Pro-U helps give you the relevant skills, tools and support that you need to be successful.

I met Jay and other top industry leaders at an event in Costa Rica recently, you can take a look here if you like. What an awesome experience that was!

So what do you have to do?

New users are entitled to a free webinar to see what this is all about. Just click here to organise this at a time that suits you, where you can learn from Jay Kubassek himself. He’s helped thousands of people over the years to become successful online, and if you’ve come to a crossroads in your life just as I did, then perhaps this is an opportunity for you to start something new!

Pro-U offer various packages based on the metaphorical ‘mountain’ of online success – Gear Up, Base, Ascent, Summit & Peak – to suit your own needs in terms of levels of mentorship and commitment.

Rest assured, you’ll receive a first class education, unparalled opportunities to learn and mix with the best of the best online and an unrivalled skill-set to help you achieve your true potential online.

Pro U can really allow you to live life as you choose, earning the salary you choose! So if you are in a mid life crisis, why not take a leaf out of my book and turn your situation around? If I can do it, so can you.

Six Main Goals For Success For Running A Top Home Based Business On The Internet

If you want to be successful running a top home based business on the Internet, here’s a blue-print to keep you on track.

Create a list of the following six topics and write three bullet points for each. They need to be things that are relevant to you and be sure to read this list until the contents become etched into your memory. Keep telling yourself that these are your goals and the more you go over these in your mind, the easier they will be to achieve.

Remember something very important……your thoughts influence your actions and your actions influence what you achieve.

Personal Development: Have a think about who you want to become. Do you know what your mission and purpose are? When you can get clear on these two vital factors, implementing them will be easy. Maybe you get a deep sense of satisfaction from helping others and that is your driving force. If this is your mission and purpose, then you most likely will go to great lengths to achieve this.

Do you want to become a world class Internet Marketer and Online Business Entrepreneur and an expert in your field? You might want to help others achieve success so they can experience the kind of freedom that running a successful business provides. The kind of freedom that you enjoy. Maybe you aspire to being a positive and dynamic person who inspires others.

Material: What things do you want to have? Maybe you don’t have your own home but would like to get one or perhaps you have one but need a bigger one as your family grows. Do you have dreams of moving to the country or by a beach? You may want to be able to afford a new car, travel the world and go to some of those exotic places in your dreams and stay in lovely hotels.

Financial: How are you going to finance the material things? Have a think about how much you need to earn each month for the next six months. Then you could increase it to cover the following six months. What would you like your nett worth to be in twelve months? How much would you like to earn over the next few months as you build your business? Maybe some of these would go on your list.

Business: What would you like to accomplish? Have a think about what leadership level you might want to reach in your company. Maybe you are in Network Marketing or Direct Marketing and you want to grow a team. Think about how many people you want to attract to your business. Maybe you want to generate 100 leads a month or find an assistant so you can leverage your time. Maybe you want to outsource certain elements of your business so you can focus on the parts you are good at.

Experiences: What do you want to be able to look back on later on in life? What dreams and aspirations do you want to accomplish? Do you want to be a great parent, making a difference in the lives of your family or do you want to travel the world? Maybe you have a burning ambition to walk in the foothills of the Himalayas or make a difference to people who are starving.

Physical: If you keep yourself in good physical shape, you stand the best chance of keeping your mind in good shape. In order to achieve this you will have to do whatever it takes to keep yourself physically fit. Would you like inner peace, calm and unwavering focus? Maybe you want twelve hours of productive energy each day with super laser-like focus on your goals. Do you want to be supercharged? To be able to do this you need to have plenty of physical exercise to keep you in great shape.

If you become aware on a daily basis of what your goals are when setting up your top home based business on the Internet, you are far more likely to reach them. I wish you all the best of luck on your journey to success and if you’ve found this blog post useful, I’d love you to share it with your friends.

Top Tips For Blogging Success For A Work At Home Mum In An Online Marketing Business

If You’re A Work At Home Mum Like I Am – I Hope My Blogging Tips Will Help You

If you’re a work at home mum running an online marketing business, you need to understand the importance of blogging. Anyone can write a blog, but not just anyone can write a blog that will be pulling in the viewers and gaining you those much needed hits and ultimately leading to sales.  It’s a crucial element to running a successful business. So, what can be done? Let me share with you a few hints which will help bring your blogging alive and kickstart your online presence.

If You’re A Work At Home Mum – Be Interesting

Now, for some this might seem to be a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised and like I’m sure you all do, I too read countless blogs and some of them don’t really inspire me.

Sometimes we get caught up in trying to post as many blogs as possible and then we lose that crucial spark. A boring blog post is a wasted blog post, but creating something fresh, new and informative is the perfect opportunity to attract much-needed traffic to your site. Think about what you’d like to read yourself and you can’t go far wrong.

It’s all about reputation, and the only way you can achieve status as an expert in your field is to demonstrate that. Create first-rate content offering solutions, ideas and more and your readers will be hooked and engaged, exactly what you need.

If You’re A Work At Home Mum – Be Regular

I would suggest the ideal situation is to post on the same day (or days) each week, preferably at the same time. If you’re setting yourself into a timetable to write the posts then more than likely your readers will come to expect them and if they know some new exciting content is on its way on a Tuesday at 10 am, then perhaps they’ll head over to your site to check around that time, or they’ll open their RSS Feeds at some point too.

If you’re still a fledgling site then you’ll be wanting to post as much as possible, but don’t flood your readers. There’s a fine line here, you don’t want to be posting endless dreary content but then at the same time if your posts are sporadic and half-hearted then you risk alienating readers too. It’s up to you to establish what’s appropriate, but just strike up a rhythm, and see what works best for you and your viewers. Every other day is a great place to start.

If You’re A Work At Home Mum – Be Savvy

I cannot emphasise enough just how crucial keywords are to your articles and posts. A few minutes of efficient, useful keyword research can plug you into the massive traffic arriving through search engines, and furthermore, it’s not just limited to your new posts.

Think about it, if you’re using appropriate keywords in all your posts, then there’s a real likelihood that a casual browser on Google, Yahoo, Bing or any of the other search engines might just stumble across your article. If they like it, then maybe they’ll hit that crucial subscribe button. After all, what’s the harm in trying? A small amount of effort can reap huge rewards over a long period of time if you get this right.

If You’re A Work At Home Mum – Be Vocal

Nobody wants their blog to just be one in a sea of other blogs, so you need to make yours stand out from the crowd. High quality articles goes some way, but it’s up to you to use your Facebook page, your Twitter account, YouTube and other social media to really get yourself heard. If you can make interesting comments on other peoples’ content too then again it will raise your profile. I’m not talking about you hijacking a post with blatant spam linking to your own page. Be a real person, make some insightful comment and perhaps somebody will have the presence to click on you and have a look around.

Like it or loathe it, online you’re always presenting yourself, and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t harness this power to your own advantage as a business.

Does An Internet Marketing Business Need A Facebook Page?

You bet it does, along with just about every other business on the planet both online and offline no matter how big or small. This is the 21st Century and technology is racing ahead at such a speed. If you’ve got an Internet marketing business or any other kind of business, you need to be getting a Facebook Page right now. Don’t wait, you won’t want to get left behind.

So why Facebook?

New sites such as Google+ and privacy-focused Diaspora are attempting to knock it off its pedestal, but at the end of the day, almost everything in today’s social media space is focused around Facebook.

With around 700 million user accounts, Facebook has grown exponentially since its Harvard beginnings in 2005, and in fact, if it was a country it would be the 3rd most populated in the world.

Some people have misgivings about Facebook for various reasons such as lack of time, concerns about privacy or general confusion but the benefits definitely outweigh the drawbacks.

For the majority of us, when we think of the Internet, the first website that comes to mind is Google, but in fact, Facebook has more web traffic than the titanic search giant, where people spend around 700 billion minutes per month on the social network. Clearly, this is where your business needs to be.

Then again, it’s not just about the numbers. Still not convinced? Read on.

Online Presence

An individual has their own personal profile, but as a business, you can create what is known as a Facebook Page. Recent updates to the way Facebook works, mean that you can interact with other users pages as your business. In other words, any activity on Facebook can be attributed to your Business Page rather than your own personal Profile – effortless advertising at its most subtle, so long as you’re not over posting unnecessarily.

Contact

Anybody who ‘likes’ your page will see everything that you post in their News Feed – a live, constantly updated stream of information. The nature of the site means that everything you do in the public domain on Facebook will show up to all your target audience, giving them an opportunity to interact all the time. Post something interesting every day and people are able to get to know you and your business better, and this knowledge leading to trust is crucial for your success.

Respect

This is a platform for you to show and tell your audience just how special you are – not in an overt way, but through being a veritable expert on your market niche. Post informative tips, interesting news articles, useful ideas so that you are first in the collective consciousness of your audience when they need your services.

Branding

Facebook is another outlet for your company so make the most of this – the more you are seen across the Internet with a consistent brand image the better, so even if you’re new to this, you can be on the same level as the big guys! Get yourself a professional branding package if you can which will greatly improve public perception of your business, and then make sure this is the same across your online presence, including Facebook.

Go Viral

If you like, this is your main goal here, and while it doesn’t happen to everyone, Facebook helps hugely. Everything is about sharing here, and it’s free word-of-mouth advertising! Sign up to RSS feeds and surf the net regularly for interesting content which you can then share on your Facebook page, be it videos, articles, tips, anything, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be yours either, as in this case you are only passing it on. Even the best journalists are known to share content from other companies and similar, so why can’t you every now and then do the same thing? Again, if people know they can trust you to pass on good information, then they will more than likely believe in you equally when you’re posting your own material.

This list could go on and on, and that’s the best thing about Facebook right now. It’s a true hub of activity, and the best thing you can do right now for your Internet marketing business or any business that you may be involved with is to get a Facebook Page as fast as you can.

N.B: Remember, a Facebook Page is different to a Facebook Profile. The latter is focused on business and a space for interaction with customers or potential customers, whereas a profile is what your friends and individuals use!

Work At Home Mum Lindsey Introduces Her Mum Andy

Lindsey would like to introduce you to her wonderful mum Andy.  Lindsey considers she was very lucky to have been made redundant from her job as it forced  her to look for an alternative way to earn money to help support her family. She’s joined a community of expert Internet marketers and online business professionals and she’s a work at home mum now.  Had she still been working for a boss in a 9 – 5 traditional type of job, she’d have found it almost impossible to meet the needs of her family and keep a boss happy so she realises that being laid off 18 months ago was a HUGE blessing in disguise.

This video was taken up on http://youtu.be/0qLniP_ZGFo Grand Western Canal near Andy’s home in Devon. It was a sunny November day and it’s a place that Andy loves to go in her wheelchair.

If  you’re someone looking after their own family as well as an invalid parent, relative or friend, and juggling the demands of a traditional full-time job – then chances are you’re in the same boat that Lindsey was in before she was laid off.  At times, Lindsey felt like she was a hampster on a treadmill going faster and faster.  Getting any time off work was a complete nightmare and Lindsey used to worry about how she could keep everyone happy.  So, being laid off was her lucky break in many ways.  Now she’s got her Internet marketing business and is a work from home mum  and she can be there for her mum and family when they need her.

If you think you might be in a similar situation, why not think of starting your own business so you can work at home too?  If Lindsey can do it, so can you. You can always check out her Work With Lindsey page and see for yourself.
